I am passionate about using my creativity and analytical mindset to effectively communicate value to audiences that builds brand recognition. As a marketing professional with a diverse background and a hunger to learn, my short term objective is to continue building my skillset in content strategy, brand marketing, and UX design. As someone who believes strongly in mentorship, my long term objective is to work my way up into a senior marketing position where I can train, influence, and develop the next generation of talent.

In my current role, I have accelerated the development of my digital marketing skills and gained valuable experience in a fast pace start up environment, working at the forefront of emerging technology in one of the most competitive industries. I’ve had deep exposure to many facets within the umbrella of marketing and taken on senior management level responsibilities. My diverse experience has allowed me to develop skills that have enabled me to thrive within both large organizations that are heavily process oriented organizations, as well as challenging environments that require the abilities to be a self learner, execute tasks quickly, and think critically. I have delivered impactful results that lead to significantly greater brand recognition in a very short amount of time and with very minimal training/guidance- especially with being moved to a remote work situation a month into my current role due to Covid-19.

Experience

ONE Tech, Junior Digital Marketer & Head of Partnerships

February 2020- Present

ONE Tech is an AI/ML startup based out of Dallas, TX that deploys enterprise IoT solutions across the globe. As a Junior Digital Marketer & Head of Partnerships at ONE Tech, I report directly to the Director of Solution Engineering and the CEO of ONE Tech. I wear many different hats and spearhead/manage several different projects from planning to execution that require me to utilize my unique skill set. My primary responsibilities include:

  • Content strategy and creating content that continues to educate internal stakeholders, drives lead generation and customer engagement, and establishes ONE Tech as a thought leader in the edge computing, AI, and IoT verticals

  • Assist with SEO, web development, SEM, and social media management

  • Build and execute virtual events strategies that deliver increased brand recognition, and lead generation

  • Assist with training & onboarding new associates

  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships across multiple industries to build the partner ecosystem from the ground up

  • Work with multiple onboarded partners to identify new market opportunities and develop enhanced value add solutions for customers by educating them on ONE Tech solutions/technology

  • Collaborate with a global marketing team to align and track marketing initiatives

  • Manage relationships across multiple industries and the federal sector to grow the ONE Tech brand

  • Work directly with the CEO to build go to market strategies for the federal sector

Since joining ONE Tech, I have created content for various purposes and audience including webinar series collateral, customer facing content (i.e. blog posts, press releases, social media campaigns, award winning product promotional content), educational content for partners, sales enablement content (i.e. sales presentation decks), and strategy roadmaps that educate and enable internal stakeholders to successfully execute on company wide initiatives (i.e. hackathons, virtual events). I also established and built successful strategic partnerships with 4 companies across a 6 month window, ranging from small start ups. to global corporations like IBM.

Gartner, Business Development Specialist

October 2018 - February 2020

Gartner is the world’s leading best practice research and advisory firm that equips C-level executives, business leaders, and key decision makers with best practices and key insights necessary to improve their efficiency, optimize their function/teams, and ultimately make critical progress against their mission-critical priorities.

As a Business Development Specialist, I communicated daily with C-level executives across both the public and private sectors to uncover top challenges facing functional leaders, and strategically partnered with those executives to equip them with best practices, strategic support, and a global perspective into emerging trends that directly impact their sector/industry to keep them ahead of the curve.

During my time with Gartner, I managed multiple territories and generated 520k in new business revenue against a 455k quota through tailored market research to uncover top challenges executives faced within specific industries and strategic outreach to C-suite executives. I communicated with key decision makers to build relationships and deliver value through tailored insights and best practice research. I also took on additional responsibilities that involved organizing and executing team engagement campaigns that resulted in my team being the top performing sales team across our business unit. I was promoted from associate to specialist level within seven months because of my successful track record, demonstrated leadership, and positive attitude.

This experience was a critical step in polishing my verbal and written communication skills.

Back 9ine Fest Music Festival, Co-Founder/Co-Producer/Head of Marketing & Parnterships

March 2018- October 2018

During my senior year of college, I Co-Founded & Co-produced Lubbock's first ever Back 9ine Fest music festival, which was a first of its kind music experience for the Lubbock market. I built the Back 9ine brand from the ground up through competitive research, multi-channel marketing campaigns and building strategic partnerships with local organizations. I managed backstage operations, promotions, social media management, acquiring 4 sponsors & partners, building the Back 9ine brand, and ticket sales.

My various marketing campaigns grew the recognition of the Back 9ine Fest brand across both the student and local populations, and was directly responsible for generating 20k in ticket sales. I also managed relationships with top artists and their teams (i.e. KYLE, T-Pain, Waka Flocka, Felly & Gyyps), and aligned Back 9ine and artist promotional strategies to expand market reach that resulted in the expansion of the Back 9ine Fest brand across the state of Texas. I created and managed the social media pages for Back9ineFest, and I collaborated with a team of freelance designers to accelerate the creation of content that I managed from strategy to execution.

The partnerships I established with local organizations were strategic and helped to enhance the festival experiences that lead to an increase in sales of our top-tier VIP experience tickets. Lastly, I recruited and managed a 25 person festival team, and oversaw all festival operations resulting in a fantastically successful event with no operational inefficiencies.

Ultimately I stepped away after I graduated to pursue a new challenge in my professional career, but this was certainly a life changing experience.
